By Car

From the Netherlands, you can travel quickly and easily to Fiesch in approximately 10 hours. If you cross the border at Arnhem (A12), the distance is about 875 km. If you cross the border at Venlo (A73/A74), the distance to Fiesch is about 780 km. The routes are briefly described below. In Switzerland, there are tolls on the motorways. This route description includes the use of a car train in Switzerland.

By Car via Arnhem

From Arnhem (A12), take the A3 in Germany heading south towards Cologne/Düsseldorf/Duisburg. At the 48-Mönchhof-Dreieck junction, follow the A67 towards Basel/Stuttgart/Darmstadt. Continue on the A67 towards Stuttgart/Mannheim/Saarbrücken. At Viernheim, merge onto the A6. At the 'Kreuz Walldorf' junction, take the A5 towards Basel/Karlsruhe. You will enter Switzerland via Weil am Rhein. The route from here is the same as the one described below (from Venlo).

By Car via Venlo

From Venlo, take the A61 heading south and at the Autobahndreieck Hockenheim, join the A6 towards Stuttgart/Karlsruhe. At the 'Kreuz Walldorf' junction, take the A5 towards Basel/Karlsruhe. You will enter Switzerland via Weil am Rhein. The motorway here continues as the A2. Note: Toll fees are required on this road! Continue on the A2 towards Lucerne/Gotthard. You will pass through the Belchen Tunnel. Shortly after, merge onto the A1 towards Gotthard/Lucerne/Zürich. Then, rejoin the A2 towards Gotthard/Lucerne/Reiden. Next, take exit 40-Göschenen towards Gotthardpass/Furkapass/Oberalppass/Andermatt. Merge onto the Gotthardstrasse and follow road number 2. After the second roundabout, you will reach Furkastrasse (road number 19). Follow this road to Realp, where we recommend taking the Furka Base Tunnel car train to Oberwald. In Oberwald, disembark from the train and follow Furkastrasse 19 for approximately 24 km further towards Fiesch.
